Palmora Grande Table Lamp

This one is shaped like the thing it's named for. A tightly wound rattan trunk rises to a canopy of woven fronds, each one curved and layered like a palm caught mid sway, with a smaller woven drum tucked underneath to diffuse the bulb. Lit, the inner shade glows amber while the fronds cast soft, shifting shadows rather than blocking the light outright, so it works as ambient lighting and as a small piece of sculpture that happens to switch on. Handmade in the Philippines from natural fiber, which means the fronds and the weave itself will vary slightly piece to piece. Best alone on a console where it has room to fan out, or in pairs for something more resort than novelty.
